Booksy is an app for the iPad geared to help struggling readers. Students would choose a story and read the pages like a printed book. If a student was reading and did not know the word, they could click on that word and it would pronounce the word out loud for the student. Plus, there are quizzes at the end of each book to test students for reading comprehension. Booksy also has the option of tracking each student user. DTT Words is an app for the iPad that allows students to read sight words. Teachers can set up a profile for each student, then press start. Teachers may choose which words, the trial time, and how many cards to be shown at a time. This can be edited to fit each individual students needs. When the start button is pressed, the audio will say the word out loud and the student will choose the correct card. The students correctness is tracked at the upper right hand corner of the page.
